UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (2011) rest on three pillars: the State duty to protect, the corporate responsibility to respect, and access to remedy. For companies the core is a policy commitment, human-rights due diligence and effective grievance mechanisms. They underpin many current supply-chain due diligence laws.
